Over the past few years China has become an interesting focus point from a wide variety of viewpoints, from being a country of global relevance in the manufacting sector, both with regard to high and low value products, to its position as a tourist destination ( given that in 2020 it is expected that China will be the principal world tourist destination), as well as in numerous other fields. As a result, both interest in learning that language and in gaining a first-hand knowledge of how business is conducted in China is growing throughout the West. For this reason, numerous European business schools and universities are making efforts to sign agreements and organise seminars in China with the aim of introducing their students to a country that is currently acquiring ever greater international relevance.
Similary, Spanish as a language and Spanish culture are in very greater demand among large sectors of the Chinese population. The Spanish authorities are making efforts to introduce Spain to this Asian giant for whom knowledge of the country was until recently largely non-existent.
CHEIC has represented various prestigious Spanish business schools in China and has also organised seminars for Chinese managers in Spain as well as seminars in Spain on the subject of China. CHEIC also works with the leading Chinese companies specialised in the sector, working jointly to ensure an ever increasing flow of students between one country and another through Spanish and Chinese schools.
